Metropolitan Design Concepts was selected as one of the five featured designers at Grubb Properties’ recent CONDO MOJO 2007, a gallery of “designer accents for urban living” at their 1315 East Condominium project in Dilworth. The event featured a spectrum of products and design concepts for urban living from five local designers in five separate units. Each gallery demonstrated a unique approach to decorating that could be achieved with a $15,000 budget.

The unit that Metropolitan Design Concepts designed was a penthouse condo with a city view. Stacie Salisbury decided that a great contrast to the urban feel would be to bring in nature and chose brown and green to tie into the earth. She wanted to bring focus to the beautiful views, so she created bold window treatments that framed the vast windows. She found inspiration in animal fabrics, art and vibrant greens, a look that was complementary and decidedly urban chic but definitely fit in to the “concrete jungle.”
