Spotlight ProjectMike and Laura had been living in their home for over ten years and their bathroom showed it. It was the “builder special” featuring 4 x 4 white tiles, faux marble sink tops, brass fixtures and a poor use of space. Their closet area was cluttered and unsophisticated. They had master bath envy, and came to Metropolitan Design Concepts to quench their thirst. This master bath has now become a wonderful retreat, a great place to escape from the daily grind. We were able to incorporate everything on their wish list and even a few extra tweaks. The luxuriant soaking tub is nearly centered in the room, a great place from which to rule the realm or to watch a fabulous movie on the TV and soak for hours. There is an entire wall of custom cabinetry, which adds great architectural interest to the room as well as more storage than even the clients could have wanted. There are oversized beveled mirrors and a great glass wall which adds sparkle and keeps the space light, airy and open. Even the dogs have taken to sleeping in the bath upon the wonderful heated floors!
